Rep-Tile was conceived, designed, and fabricated as an immersive educational exhibit for the
Oxford Maths Festival at the University of Oxford Mathematical Institute.
Vayun Khare and Mahraz Ahmed are the undergraduate students and developers who designed
the physical product from scratch. Over weeks of iterative testing, they designed the CAD models, 3D printed the chassis components, soldered the complex electronics arrays, and wrote the ESP32 embedded software and the web dashboard interface.
Academics David Kohan Marzagao and Josh Murphy are the professors who supervised and mentored the project, facilitating its exhibition at the Oxford Maths Festival on behalf of King's College London and the University of Oxford.
The project was met with overwhelming interest and enthusiasm during the festival, serving as a testament to the power of combining tactile physical hardware, wireless NFC technology, and mathematical play.
